Creature: Opee Sea Killer

Homeworld: Naboo

Height: 20 Metres long

Diet: Carnivore

Opee Sea Killers or Opees are stealthy creatures that hide in rocks or under ledges in the Lake of Naboo. They have a large antennae coming from the top of their head(which is used to lure their prey into their mouth), the Opee is ideal and perfectly adapted to swim under water, though in a rather unusual way, in which the Opee is able to suck the water into it's mouth and propels it with pores right underneath some armored plates from the rear end. As well as this, the Opee also has a selection of guidance fins and 3 pairs of legs that are very sufficient for accelerating under water. The male Opee fish are known to be mouth-breeders, keeping the eggs inside their mouth, forcing the male Opee to hibernate until the eggs have hatched. The egg of an Opee is very commonly eaten by a large fish by the name of Colo Claw fish - the Colo Claw fish would later suffer the consequences when the eggs are hatched and the new borns are able to chew their way out completely, resulting in a very grizzly, painful death for the Colo Claw fish. An Opee sea killer is also seen in the movie Star wars Phantom Menace, perfectly camouflaging and blending in with the environment, the Opee waits for it's prey to swim by before reaching in with it's very long tongue to lure it into it's mouth. During the time of the Phantom Menace... an Opee chases one of the Gungan Bongos in the Lake of Naboo, containing Obi-wan, Qui-Gonn and Jar Jar Binks inside, the Opee is able to grab the Bongo with its tongue and although ultimately damaging the Bongo, the Opee is killed and swallowed by the largest creature of the Naboo... the Sando Aqua Monster - which is considered somewhat a rival to the Opee Sea Killer.
